Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop appropriate processes and systems for the management of reporting against progress, milestones and targets to key boards and other forums; ensuring programme and project costs and financial projections are accurately managed; corporate and programme risk registers and sub-registers are maintained, validated, escalated/de-escalated and managed.
- Develop, implement, maintain, report and manage issues against programme and project management controls. Report to groups and boards as appropriate.
- Evaluate current reports and information and develop a ‘produce once, use many times’ approach to a standardised reporting pack which can be adapted with maximum impact and minimum effort for reporting groups and organisations.
- Establish, maintain and support an efficient system for management of board meetings, preparations, attendances and papers including preparation and approval of agendas and papers.
- Maintaining appropriate records of decisions and actions, under configuration management, as part of programme documentation and governance.
- Working with Programme and Project Managers to ensure that adequate and experienced PMO support is provided, from the PMO on a ‘hub and spoke’ basis, to programmes within RWM and the GDF Programme.
- Undertake gate reviews and provide advice to the Programme Boards and NWS Sanction Committee on sanction submissions.
- Own the development and maintenance of NWS’s Portfolio, Programme and Project Management processes, procedures and systems.
- Lead the implementation of best practice throughout the company’s Programme and Project Management activities and share LfE across NWS.
- Manage the risks within your scope of work in compliance with the company risk management procedures.
- To consider ED&I in all conversations and interactions, ensuring you treat all individuals equally, respectfully and in line with LLWR’s ED&I principles
Experience Required
- Demonstrated delivery of PMO or programme delivery in complex programmes in a nuclear or Infrastructure setting.
- Degree or other higher education standard in an appropriate science, technical or programme discipline
- Excellent communication skills, accomplished at building long term relationships with a wide network of regulators and stakeholders.
- Experience of having worked closely with regulators, supply chain and public.
- Collaborative and influencing skills demonstrated in working through ambiguity to reach an outcome.
- Credible reputation in an external environment representing company and sector in public
- Shown thought leadership externally in a PMO and project management environment, recognised
- Experienced in setting strategy and developing approaches for implementation
