Roles and Responsibilities
  • Implement the NWS ERM Framework and support continuous improvement of the framework.
  • Support all business functions, operations, programmes and project delivery in embedding risk management into their BAU activities.
  • Understand and interpret risk data and intelligence and share good practice across the business.
Experience Required

Essential

  • Familiar with applying risk management, audit or assurance controls and process regimes within a multi-faceted organisation.
  • Understanding of tools and techniques in risk management, including practical implementation expertise.
  • Ability to articulate and present the status of risk and mitigating strategies to stakeholders.
  • Excellent Communication and influencing skills, along with the ability to flex personal style to engage and motivate others, and with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • High resilience and the diplomacy to deal with ambiguity and change.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, both face to face and in writing, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly.

Desirable

  • Experienced professional with demonstrable expertise in Risk Management.
  • Delivery and implementation of risk management tools and techniques.
  • Professional qualification (achieved or working towards) in risk management (e.g IRM, MoR, Degree level qualification) direct experience in risk management.
  • Recognised formal Project Management qualification (PMI, APMP, MSP, ITIL, Prince2, P30, MoR) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of new policies, processes and solutions, including development of key performance indicators and reporting requirements.
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders up to Heads of Function level.
  • A can-do attitude, delivery focus and ability to manage own workload, including time and deadline management.
